As students and families gear up each week for fall sports, events, and activities, USD 265 teachers have been hard at work ensuring excellence in our classrooms day in and day out. From the buzz of homecoming to the fun of Friday night lights, it’s a great time to be a part of the #265Family. We believe that all students have the potential to learn and grow, and Goddard educators are committed to providing them with the resources and opportunities they need to reach and exceed their goals.

Celebrate the past, and inspire the future! The Goddard Education Foundation (GEF) recognized the Goddard Hall of Fame Class of 2024 on Friday, September 13, 2024. THANK YOU to all of the current and past staff, alumni, and community members who joined together for the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Legacy Brunch, followed by the Goddard Public Schools Alumni Association’s Tailgate Dinner to help celebrate the rich legacy of our #265Family. September 2024 Attitude Awards

Congratulations to Brandy Lane (Eisenhower Middle School), Carrie McSwain (Challenger Intermediate School), and Hunter Noblit (USD 265 Maintenance) on receiving the District Attitude Award at the September 2024 Board of Education meeting! A big thanks also to Discovery Intermediate School’s Pride Pack for leading the Pledge of Allegiance.

Annual Roar on 54 Football Game

While the EHS Tigers came out on top this year, it’s always a close call when our hometown football teams take to the field each year. Congratulations to each player who gave their all during the annual “Roar on 54” football game, and THANK YOU to all of the parents, families, organizations, and community members that join us each year to cheer on the student athletes of Goddard Public Schools! The support of our local community for this exciting event helps us stay connected and remember that, through all of the friendly competition, at the end of the day we’re all better together.

As students of all ages dive into the fall sports and activities season, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank ALL of the coaches and activity sponsors as well as the administrators who help our students achieve success both on and off the field, and in and out of our schools. From the late-night bus rides home from an away game, to the early morning club meetings, extracurricular activities within Goddard schools are just one of the ways that USD 265 helps educate the whole student.

Staff Spotlight: Rachelle Blue

“Even after over twenty years, I still feel like a new teacher some days; things are still hard and they are always changing. But when you work in a department like mine, in a building and district like this one, you share more than just students. You share successes, failures, laughter, tears, and growth. Being part of a team like this is everything.”

Rachelle Blue, English Language Arts (ELA) teacher at Eisenhower High School, is being honored with the 2024 High School Teacher of Excellence Award by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). Congratulations, Mrs. Blue!

Goddard Education Foundation: Ticket-To-Ride Raffle

Calling all #265Family! In partnership with local business sponsors, school PTOs and Booster Clubs, the Goddard Education Foundation has launched the Ticket-To-Ride vehicle raffle. The winner could choose between a 2024 Chevy Blazer EV ($50,470 MSRP), a $35,000 credit toward the purchase of any vehicle at a Don Hattan dealership, OR $25,000 cash!

With each ticket you purchase, one ticket for $25, or a five-pack of tickets for $100, you’re helping enhance education in our schools. Ticket sales only go until Sunday, Oct. 20th and there are limited available - so buy yours today!
