As parents, staff, and families kick off the school year together, it’s important to remember what brings us together as a community - our common goal of student success. The advancement of excellence in education in Goddard Public Schools drives our mission of educating all students for lifelong success.

Backpack-to-School Donation Drive: THANK YOU!

A special thank you to the countless volunteers who contributed to help make the 2024 Backpack-to-School school supplies donation drive possible. This group of individuals and partners included: the Goddard Education Foundation, USD 265 Transportation Department, Goddard Main Street Market, Walmart Supercenter of Goddard, First National Bank of Hutchinson, Pathway Church of Goddard, Lange Real Estate, Credit Union of America, Vrana Chiropractic, Goddard Public Library, Lange Real Estate, Holle Homes, Cofellow Coffee Parlor, 21st & Maize Chick-fil-A, Textron Aviation, Goddard Senior Center, the EHS & GHS spirit squads, and all the individuals in our community who contributed to the school supply drive. Collectively, over $10,000 in school supplies were contributed!

With your support, over 250 Goddard Public Schools students in need were provided with supplies for the first day of school. Thank YOU for stepping up to serve our #265Family!

District Orientation

In preparation for the exciting start of another school year, the Goddard Public Schools staff of over 1,200 individuals gathered together for the annual District Orientation event on Monday, August 5th, at the Cotillion.

We want to recognize the partnerships that helped make this event a success. By providing elements like breakfast treats, swag, and raffle prizes for staff, you help us continue to create a connected and caring culture within our school communities. The entire USD 265 Administrative team of school principals and district directors joined together to welcome all new teachers to the Goddard Public Schools at New Teacher Orientation on Thursday, August 1st, at Challenger Intermediate School. USD 265 Maintenance Prepares for a Successful First Day of School

Goddard Public Schools wants to recognize the incredible hard work and dedication of our USD 265 Maintenance team. This summer, and every summer, they go above and beyond to ensure our schools are ready for students, staff, and families. Their efforts and dedication ensure the grounds, facilities, and maintenance of every space in this school district run smoothly and safely for our staff and students.

Despite the challenges posed by staffing shortages, the Maintenance team has tirelessly deep-cleaned and prepared school sites, continuing to create a welcoming and safe environment for everyone, as you may have noticed at Open House events. Their commitment truly makes a difference in our school communities!

ROAR on 54 - Free Copy Sign Up Link

The second edition of the Goddard Education Foundation's annual publication, ROAR on 54, will be hitting mailboxes this fall. ROAR on 54 is a 24-page, full-color magazine that features stories and images from throughout Goddard Public Schools. This annual publication highlights the achievements of students, the contributions of staff, and the innovative programs supported by the Goddard Education Foundation (GEF) - celebrating the past, while looking towards the future.

ROAR on 54 is mailed to EVERY household and business inside the USD 265 school district boundaries, as well as EVERYONE who has signed up to receive it in the past. However, we need your help to get this into the hands of grandparents, alumni, retired educators, businesses, and other supporters who may live outside of the district boundaries and may not have signed up in the past. Fall Sports Showcase Events

With the start of a new school year come our favorite annual traditions! Each high school hosts a fall sports preview night that includes all kinds of fun for the whole family. See details below.

Eisenhower High School’s annual “Night at the Ike” will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, at the EHS Sports Stadium (1230 S. 167th St. W. Goddard, KS 67052). This event will include:

  • Introduction of all fall sports teams, managers, and coaches;

  • Food, drinks, games, and prizes;

  • Tiger swag and apparel for purchase by the Tiger Nation Booster Club;

  • Goddard Education Foundation’s Ticket-to-Ride vehicle raffle;

  • And more!

Night at the Ike
Mane Event

Goddard High School’s annual “The Mane Event” will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, at the GHS District Stadium (2500 S. 199th St. W. Goddard, KS 67052). This event will include: 

  • Introduction of all fall sports teams, managers, and coaches;

  • Food, drinks, games, and prizes;

  • Lion swag and apparel for purchase by the Goddard Booster Club;

  • Goddard Education Foundation’s Ticket-to-Ride vehicle raffle;

  • And more!
